I'm cruising on Oct 18th out of New Orleans on the Fantasy. I'm looking for a hotel to stay at for one night before the cruise that offers free parking while I'm on the cruise. Parking at the cruise port is $14 per day, so this would save me about $84. Any suggestions?

The New Orleans Visitors and Convention Center might be able to help you. Look here.

I just booked a room at the New Orleans Drury Inn on Poydras Street for $96.99. This includes free parking while I stay at the motel and also during the cruise. Here's the link.

Just make sure to leave the RV at home... $28 dollars per night parking can add up in a hurry.

You will enjoy staying at the Drury. We stayed there last cruise and are booked again for October. If you have someone to stay with your luggage, drive it down there and then bring the car back to hotel and walk. We had 12 in our group so the cab fare would have been a bundle! While at the Drury, don;t forget about the free nightly drink happy hour and hot breakfast buffet before the cruise!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm packed and ready to go. We're leaving in about an hour!

We are going on the NCL Spirit at Thanksgiving. How safe is the Drury parking lot? How far is it from the cruise terminal. Idea sounds interesting! And I hate to bug siblings to haul me to the ship and leave the car at their house across the lake.
