Hotels in San Juan, P.R.?

Hey everyone, I'm traveling to P.R. on Jan. 6th and am looking for a hotel room that is relatively close to everything (nightlife, port, etc.) Does anybody have any suggestions? Inexpensive suggestions I should say.

try hotwire.com i got an affordable deal on the hilton caribe and the wyndam condonana (spelling) which is within sight of the hilton

hilton had mortons steakhouse in lobby (very expensive), thier own beach and excellent rooms..wyndam had a casino with a good band and loose penny slots but room was right over street noise...both were upscale hotels for the area and with hotwire and expedia i got a decent price. they were a 30 min cab from airport and cruise pier was closer 15-20

We stayed at the Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino and really enjoyed it. Just for another option.

We have stayed at the Caribe Hilton twice. It is very nice. We even walked from the hotel, during the day, to activities. Expedia has had decent prices in the past.
