There was a post on here last month by Mere1 about staying in the Embassy Suites at the Miami airport. I would like to hear from you regarding your stay to see how you liked it. Any and all info would be appreciated.

You can go to expedia.com and hotels.com to see photos of hotels. I've stayed in several Embassy Suite hotels and they vary greatly! Be careful. Most are high-end, a few a bought over and needing renovations.

My husband is a fire fighter in that territory. He said they go on tons of fire alarm ringings there. This particular Embassy Suite is being renovated. He was going to look into it and call me back with the name of another hotel in this area.

Try the Hilton or Hotel Sofitel (not sure of the spelling) they are also in good areas of town.

Thanks Cousins. Please let me know what your husband says. We have stayed in lots of different Embassy Suites and have had good experiences in all of them. The reviews of this one though has got me to thinking that I might need to rethink it!! Is it in a bad section of town? Have you stayed in either the Hilton or Sofitel? Thanks for any info.

It's not a bad area of town, it's just not what I would expect from an Embassy Suite...because it is a hotel they "bought" over and are renovating. I just know he said they get a lot of alarm ringings there. The other two choice he gave me to give to you came recommended by his driver. I use to live down there...so I haven't stayed at those hotels.
(I know our Embassy Suite Hotel here in Palm Beach is top of the line NICE...and expensive) But I was at one in Broward County for Labor Day..it was on the beach but again under renovation from a previous chain...and no where near nice like our here.
Hope this helps.
