Transfer in Venice

My wife and I are cruising the Mediterranean in Jun this year and we need to know how to get from the Cruise Port in Venice to the Marco Polo Airport in Venice. Any suggestions? We are not used to using public transport unless it is direct. Any help will be appreciated.

Venice is a beautiful city, but can be difficult to navigate, I found this in a previous thread
You can also take the Alilaguna Water shuttle.

Look on the map to see the route. It takes about one hour but it ist much nicer than to go by bus or taxi. Transportation by taxi: about 30 minutes.
