Transfer from Port Ft.Lauderdale to Homestead

Can anybody tell me what would be the price for me, my wife and 11 months old boy for which I need a child seat for this distence with taxi ? I have a friend who would pick me up in port but don't have the child seat. In rent-a-car they don't rent only child seats.

It would be a lot less expensive if you would have your friend pick you up. Homestead is a long way from Ft. Lauderdale airport. I would imagine the cab fare would be over $100. Is it possible for you to bring your car seat? The airlines will let you bring it. I would think you'd have to call the cab company to see about a car seat. I've never seen any in the cabs I've been in. Best wishes.

I've never seen a taxi in south Florida with child seats either. A limo company would probably provide one but not the typical street cab. And as Penny notes, it is about a 60 mile drive. When we flew with our son in his younger days, we always got a seat for him and took his car seat to use aboard the airplane. This is much safer for the child and also much more comfortable for the parents. Just make sure your car seat is FAA approved and bring it along.
