Hi all! Does anyone know the distance between LAX and the port at Long Beach?

About 30-40 minutes.
Here we measure everything by time, not distance.

From my journal, our trip from LAX to Queen Mary (adjacent to the Carnival terminal in Long Beach) took 30 minutes. Note that this was in the late evening, so I imagine that it would take a bit longer when more cars are on the road. And, I would certainly build in a lot more time in both directions for unexpected delays.

Absolutely true, LisaP; the 405 and 710 can come to a grinding halt at any time for almost any reason. My guesstimate was based on optimal conditions.

Then again, it was a great trip overall. Must do it again.

so, we are taking the carnival shuttle...I am assuming there are carpool lanes??
