We are spending a couple days in orlando before our cruise. What is the cheapest most reliable way to get from Orlando to miami port? Flight, bus(cruise-connection), rental car? How do I avoid drop off fees if using rental car?
Cruise Connection bus would be the least expensive. I don't know of any way to get around drop-off fees. They charged me to drop in Miami when I rented in Ft. Lauderdale. Instead of $56+gas, I paid $175 (this was Hertz). Flying would be the fastest, and may be reasonable if you purchase a round-trip ticket. I assume you would be flying back from Orlando.
Thanks. I am not flying out of Orlando actually out of Miami, so one way tickets are running around 120 dollars. Have you used cruise-connection before? is it on time and reliable?
We haven't used it personally, but have spoken with many people on board that have. They have a very good reputation, since a lot of Florida residents use them. We usually drive down, so we have our own vehicle. I have used taxis and rental cars when we haven't driven. The last I heard was $55 out of Orlando on Cruise Connection Buses, but that was last year. I have seen their buses at the cruise terminal, they looked very clean, very new, and in good shape.
Cruise connect is something I am not familiar with, What is the contact info. is there a web site. Flights from NH to Orlando are several hundred dollars cheaper than to FLL or Miami and then you still need transport to the Ports. I've already bought my flight this time but next time I may do MCO and bus.
