Can you tell me how this went? We are looking for transportation from Valpariso to Santiago. Did you find vans that would make the trip or hire for number of hours?

We are departing from Valparaiso on March 30, 2009 on Star Princess. There are many tour companies, a local resident recommended turistour.com although it would cost us over $200 for 2 of us to have a private tour and transfer. We wish to spend a night in Valparaiso too as it is a Unesco World Heritage site. We are considering taking a regular bus which costs $7 and then take a tour from Valpo. Anybody else traveling on that date?

We are going the opposite direction(Buenos Aires to Santiago/Valpariso)on NCL Sun, next week, leaving Feb 1. I have not been able to find anyone on this site who is sharing the same or similar itinery, as yet. I guess the South American tour information and number of cruisers to this area must be a bit thin compared to other areas.
