Hi, we are taking a chance w/ a 10:45 departure flight time from Miami International after our cruise. Any suggestions for speedy disembarkation? Thanks.

Hi lasmile57, welcome to Cruise-Chat. You are definitely taking a chance. If you can change it, you need to do so. If everything goes perfectly smooth, you could possibly make it. If you do self-disembark, customs clears the ship, there are no hold-ups getting through customs, there is no traffic problems, then yes you could make your flight. To do self-disembark, you must be able to take off all of your luggage by yourself, no assistance from anyone. If the ship gets back into port and docked by 6-7am, and there is no problem with customs/immigration, they could possibly clear the ship by 7:30-8. Then they will call for the self-debark passengers. You will have to gather your luggage and go through customs. If you don't get searched or have to pay duty, that should take about 30-45 minutes. Then you need to grab a cab and pray that traffic is good. It's only about a 30 minute drive to the airport, but if there's an accident or if it's rush hour, that could be much more. I wouldn't want you to end a really nice vacation by having to rush around and be stressed out. Please try to change your flight to an afternoon depature. Best wishes and once again, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the info. I was able to change it to a 12:20 departure. Hopefully that will work!

12:20 is much better. That should work.
