Our cruise was a 7 day Western Caribbean from 9-16 May 2009. We had to stay our first night in Orlando and stayed only few miles from Disney at Comfort Suites Maingate East which was a great hotel in an area filled with shops, restaurants, mini golf, Fun spot and other attractions only a walk distance away. The hotel complimentary breakfast included many choices to choose from along with mickey mouse waffles which my daughter couldn't get enough of. Rooms were very clean and staff was always pleasant. Pool area was very relaxing and surprisingly open 24 hours. For the price we paid, I would definately return on my next Orlando trip. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. As far as the cruise, if you are looking for a outstanding cruise experience that the whole family can enjoy, one that includes excellent accomodations, great dining and relaxation for the adults and tons of fun activities for the children, I would highly recommend Disney. My 5 year old daughter had a blast. The food was good to excellent and the room was very nice. Go for the Disney cruise if you want family fun. Go for Radisson or Princess if you want fine dining and fine accomodations for adults. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Hi a_johnsonstar, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Thank you so much for your review. It always helps to have suggestions on where to stay, especially around Disney. They are so very expensive, but everyone should experience the Magic Kingdom, et al. It's so hard to see all of the parks, even in a week. I've heard nothing but rave reviews on Disney. It's great to hear your daughter had a blast. Sounds like you're raising a cruiser http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif Which ship have you booked for your next adventure? Best wishes, and once again, welcome aboard!
