Gary,

Your photos are always not only visually beautiful, but also technically perfect. What do you use for equipment?

Thanks Dave and all for the kind words.
I use a Canon XTI. I have a few lens that a carry, but mainly use the 18-250 Tamron. I usually shoot in the raw mode. (no not naked, that would be Dwayne getting room service ) Most higher end camera has this mode, other just have the jpeg mode. Shooting in this mode lets you adjust the image a little more and usually brings out the color better.
I took this photo in the Hotel Parking lot. Not sure what kind of bird it is, but there were several of different type around the area.

Gary, can you stand another fan of your photography? I am purely an amateur, although it has been an interest of mine ever since my Dad gave me his old rangefinder (with external light meter) when I was 12. The nighttime shot is incredible...the clarity is amazing.

Thank you Lisa. I still have a couple of my old cameras. Right now I am looking for a couple low end digital cameras for my Grandkids. Thinking It might help them develope an eye. My oldest is always wanting to look thru my cmaera.

I have a Konica-Minolta DSLR, which is now essentially a Sony since K-M sold the patents to Sony. My K-M is the Maxxum 5D. It has RAW mode but I've never used it. I have lenses from my older Minolta 35mm which work and also a couple of Vivitar lenses I bought.

Minolta made/makes a good camera. I still have the old 35 rangefinder that I bought in Nam. You should try the raw setting sometime. I think you will like it.
