What an interesting story Keith & Rita, I'm sure he had many memories. He had to have had an enormous amount of courage to parachute into Normandy. I am so very thankful he survived and was able to share with you. So sorry to hear of your loss.

Three years ago I started doing internet searches from the only possession I had of my father, a rolled up panorama partial company photo of him and his fellow paratroopers. I had this photo framed a couple years ago. Some of the few details we knew of his past was at age eighteen he was one of the original members of the Screaming Eagles, when the 101st Airborne Division was formed in 1942. Thru this research I was able to locate a member of his company who sent me a photo of him taken at Ft Bragg in 1942. Since my father did not return with the company back to England, he assumed my father had been killed. He was totally surprised to learn he had survived the war. I've been trying to locate survivors who were with him at the Stalag IV German prison camp. I've had no luck, as most have passed way.
