LAX to Port of LA and how to waste a whole day in LA??

We are cruising with NCL Star Feb 2. What is the best way to get RT transportation between the airport and ship?? On return,Feb 10 we have a very late flight out - what to do???

hello,

There are shuttle companies that provide service from LAX to the cruise ship terminal at the Port of Los Angeles. Although the shuttle companies are not inexpensive they are still the best option in terms of convience, especially with luggage for a cruise.

After the cruise you should look at renting a car for the day, with a pick up at the port and return the vehicle to LAX. I am not sure that this is feasible for you but it is worth a look.

what to do???

1. Go to Beverly Hills and window shop/people watch - look closely, you might see a movie star.

2. Go to Pinks (Highland at Melrose Ave) and have one of their famous chili dogs.

3. Go to Mann's Chinese Theater (Hollywood Blvd at Highland) and look at the star's handprints and footprints in the cement.

4. Walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame and see all of the Stars in the sidewalk.

5. etc., etc., etc.

Renting a car is good if you are comfortable with L.A.Freeway driving; if not, look into a Gray Line tour leaving from one of the many hotels near LAX. You could check in, drop your luggage, take a tour, then have a good meal and a shower before your late flight home.
