Hi, we stayed there 2 summers ago. We stayed the night before, and the night after our cruise. The first night was wonderful, a lovely balcony room facing the north/river side of Miami. The second night we stayed, was HORRIBLE. We were in a front/bay view room. That was great. What made it horrible was the drawbrige that sounded like it was in our room. If I remember, we were on a mid-level floor, not too low and not too high. Maybe it would be better the higher the floor, I don't know. Now, I admit I am a light sleeper, and as usual, my husband is not. It even bothered him for awhile till he drifted off to sleep. For me, I had to break out the ear plugs, so I could try to sleep. When the draw bridge is in motion, it alarms. Then it is a steel grated bridge (it looked and SOUNDED like steel), so when a truck/bus or other large vehicle drives over it, it is especially loud. I thought the hotel was great. I would stay there again, and request a room facing the back, and not the bay. The back has nice views of the river and the boats going up and down it. Maybe the noises wouldn't bother you. I am just telling you about our experience. Oh, and the hotel was about a 3-4 short blocks, I thought, to Bayside Marketplace. Have fun on you cruise. Lil' Lori
