Hotel within walking distance of Ft. Lauderdale Pier

Is there a hotel everyone prefers within walking distance of the Ft. Lauderdale Pier with airport transfers. I'm excited plane tickets dropped $50 today!

The Renaissance is across the street from the port. Depending on which terminal you depart from, it could be quite a walk. The Embassy suites is a couple of blocks down from the port, again depending on the terminal, it would be quite a walk. We stayed at the Renaissance in October through Princess for $169, the prices for the Renaissance on-line were $249. ChucksOK likes Embassy Suites on 17th Street, they were $249 on-line. We'll probably stay at the TropiRock again in November, but we'll have a car. You could not walk from there. Best wishes!

Or, pick a couple of hotels you are interested and call them. Ask if they have shuttle service available. If you are trying to save money by being "walking distance" away, You may not save much over a further distance hotel being less money and getting a cab ride to the pier.

I have not left out of Ft Lauderdale, but even though the holiday inn Port of Miami is "right across the street" from the cruise piers, to walk from the hotel to the ships is still 2 miles...
