Anyone rent a car to Port Canaveral?

We are sailing on the Mariner of the Seas in September. We rented a budget rental car-they have a drop off at the port. Has anyone done this. There are 3 of us. Would it be better to get a shuttle?

I haven't done that, however, I can say you wont be fighting with your luggage. Last year we had about 6 hours to kill in Ft. Lauderdale, we rented a car, threw the luggage in the back, went to eat and shop a little. Went back to the airport, dropped the luggage off at the curb, dropped the car off and enjoyed not having to sit around bored for 6 hours. Enjoy your cruise!

We rented from Budget in Orlando, drove to Port Canaveral the night before our cruise, and the morning of our cruise we drove to the Budget office, dropped off the car and they shuttled us to the port (luggage and all).

It was great.
