When we drove by it last year, it looked like a clean place to stay. Ft. Lauderdale's airport is really close to the pier, it's in the southeast section of Lauderdale. Your hotel is further south. If you're leaving out of Port Everglades, the cab fare wont be too much, probably around $25. If you're leaving out of Port of Miami, you might want to check into SuperShuttle or a limo. The cab fare would be ridiculous. Haven't stayed there, so I can't rate the hotel, but it looked ok. Have a wonderful cruise!
