Southampton Cruise Port

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or motel close to Southampton port? We'll be going transatlantic on Independance, and flying into Southampton the day before we depart. Anything within cab ride distance will be fine.
Can't hardly wait for this cruise!!

Hi the Hilton in Southampton is nice. Its in the woods close by (you are close to the New Forest)but only a short trip to the docks. If you wanted something cheaper or less corporate then there are alot of good bed and breakfast places in the area - the Southampton tourist board would be a good place to checkout. Enjoy your brief stay in this beautiful area of the country, away from the docks you have some lovely beaches and forests to visit
