Getting to Orlando from Jacksonville?

After our cruise on the Fascination, I am going over to Orlando to see some friends. From what I can tell, the easiest/cheapest way to do this is on Amtrak. However, the latest train leaves Jacksonville at 9:48 am. If our ship docks at 8:00 and we do self-debarkation, do you think I would be able to make it to the Amtrak station in time? According to Mapquest it is a 20 minute drive and I would be taking a cab.

Does anyone have experience with this, or know of a better way to get to Orlando without renting a car?

Hi dscarb7, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Congratulations on your up-coming cruise. I doubt you could make it, but if everything goes perfectly, you might. Usually the ship docks before 8, but it depends on customs/immigration clearing the ship. We've been cleared before 8 sometimes and after 9 sometimes, just depends. You could try to find a flight or a bus to Orlando. It will probably be less expensive to rent a car, though.

I found this when I googled Jacksonville to Orlando transportation. Maybe they could just drive up and pick y'all up in Jacksonville? It's about 150 miles.
