I booked a flight leaving Miami at 10:25 a.m. the morning that our Royal Caribbean cruise docks (at 7:00 a.m.). What are our odds of making the flight? Any tips for being one of the first ones off the ship? We plan to take a taxi to the airport. Are they readily available? I don't want to wait for a bus to fill up.
Thx.

Its doable. But it will be tight. Make sure that you let them know you need early disembarkation because you have an early flight when you check in. That way you get in the first to be off list. Then yes, the taxi is the best plan. Its about a 20 min drive to the airport, but you don't want to have to wait for the bus to fill up.

This flight time is really not a good idea. As Jim notes, it is doable but really any glitch that pops up will mess things up. Customs at Miami has become quite leisurely in their processing of passengers leaving the ships, as an example.

Early debarkation is obviously a need for you. It would probably be more helpful if you could do the self-debarkation where you carry all of your bags off the ship with you. This will save some time.

I had this same question about our flight time although it's in a differesnt state. The RCI associate told us what was the earliest flight time for us to book. We get in at 7 the airport is a 15 min drive and she told us 12:30 was the earliest flight they recommend. Remeber you have to be there at least 1 hr ahead of time. (Miami is alot busier-traffic and further from the port)I'd call the cruise line they were helpful to us.
