Car Rental Agencies in LA

We are cruising to the Mexican Riviera from 11/11 to 11/18 and staying in Southern California until Thanksgiving evening. We have hotel reservations in Santa Monica. Need advise about how to go from port to hotel, rather inexpensively. Rental car agency near port is closed on Thanksgiving so we would have to get to LAX for car rental so that we can return it when we fly home from LAX. If we can get to the hotel, we can take their shuttle to the airport/car rental agencies. Thanks for your advise!!

You can try Super Shuttle; you can make reservations ahead of time for them to pick you up. Or the cruise line will probably offer a transfer to LAX after the cruise, and you can usually purchase those onboard a day or two before the cruise ends.
