Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Miami? We want to fly in and spend a night before a Cruise. Looking for maybe a 4 Star. Thanks.

We have always stayed at Biscayne Bay Marriott or The Doubletree.

Hi Janfred, we stayed at the Westin in Coral Gables in May. It was a great hotel, it looked very retro. It was right on the main strip with tons of neat restaurants. There was a tappas place, French, Cuban, seafood, etc. The cab ride to the pier was $24. I think it was around $30 from the airport. The Holiday Inn Bayside is closer, but not sure how it's rated. There are tons of places on south beach, but they're very expensive.

janfred....You might consider the Embassy Suites for just an overnight....I believe they will pick you up at the airport, Have a free Happy Hour, Full Breakfast in the AM...and bring You to the ship in the AM..

Bon Voyage,

Janfred, we will be staying one night in Miami. I was curious where you stayed and if you were happy with it. Was there transportation from airport to hotel and from hotel to port? Thanks.
