Mobile Bay's Sand Island Lighthouse Repairs
 

Good news to those who have cruised from Mobile and wondered about the famous Sand Island Lighthouse, which seemed to be close to vanishing into the waters.

This is good news. I remember that you pointed this out to us after we left Mobile last summer. I even mentioned it in my review as a highlight of sailaway, even though it was some time later.

I was surprised that it once was a 400 acre island with cattle grazing on it.

I hope that one day, Mobile will be host to a number of cruise lines!
