off-Site parking

We are embarking from Ft. Lauderdale on May 22nd on Royal Caribbean and was thinking about staying the night at the Comfort Inn a few miles away the day before. They have a 7 day cruise & park special where if you stay the night you can park on their site for free for 7 days. Has anyone done this? Or can anyone suggest a better off-site parking that we can save money rather than parking at the port?

Hi knwebb917, welcome to Cruise-Chat! Congratulations on your up-coming cruise. I know of no better offer than free parking. Parking at the port is $19/day. Sounds like you got a great deal. If they have a shuttle service, that's even better. If not, a cab shouldn't cost you more than $10.

Thanks Penny. This is our 2nd cruise but first on RC and out of Ft. Lauderdale.

They do provide free shuttle to and from. So I guess we did good.
