Best Western On the Bay-Miami

Anyone stayed here for a pre-cruise stay ? I am finding very expensive rates for Feb 2010 in Miami. This seemed reasonable, but I would appreciate some feedback ?

No. We've gone to staying away from hotels at Miami Beach or otherwise near the port. Last time we stayed in Coral Gables.

Not sure what date your looking at. Superbowl is Feb 7 next year and it's in Miami. If your cruise is anywhere around the date I suggest you get something booked now. Also check out what the cruise line has for a Pre package.

We ran into that problem on a New Year's cruise in 2005. The college championship game was at the Orange Bowl and even though we were cruising out of Port Everglades we weren't immune. I forget the hotel we used but it was near the port and was being used by many media outlets. The place was packed with TV trucks and reporters. We paid a steep price.

Queen, it is not going to be reasonable in Miami. You might try something in Hollywood or Dania, but then you'd have transportation. There have been good reviews on the Sleep Inn in Dania. Cruise Fanatic's suggestion is a really great one, the cruise line will probably have the better prices for something near the port.

Thanks, I did book a reservation, buut it just seemed expensive. Dang, I did it again, was in Tampa last year the day of the Superbowl to sail on Granduer. Now I book out of Miami, and the Superbowl is in Florida again ! I didn't even think of the Superbowl after last years fiasco. DUH ! This time it's February 14th a week later....I will look at surrounding areas too. Maybe fly into FLL the day before, and fly out of Miami, it is the same price right now. Thank you all !
