To add to this topic, we are looking for transportation from FLL airport to Port Everglades, we are ten people. I know the port is close and taxi's are an option, but my parents are elderly. Does anyone know a reliable service in the area that we could use? Thanks so much!

Nat, the airport is literally across the street from the port. The cabs are lined up outside the baggage claim area. I don't think you'll have any problem with your parents. They also have vans in the queue.

Penny, Do you think I would be able to get a van for the 10 of us with no problems?
Truthfully, I would rather do that, sometimes its more of a pain waiting for the ride to arrive, etc. Are there vans waiting when you get off the ship too? Thanks, Nat

There are plenty of cabs/vans waiting at both the port and the airport. You might have to split off the group, especially if there's a lot of luggage, but they do have good sized vans there. I know they'd hold at least 8, probably 15. I know they'll be willing to accomodate, that's their bread and butter. Another option is the cruise shuttle, but honestly, I feel it's not worth it in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando or Miami, yes. If US1 wasn't so busy, you could walk. Getting to the pier would be quite a hike, but walking to the entrance would be very doable.

If they had to split your group, someone could ride with your parents. Everyone gets dropped at the same place, so they wouldn't get lost.
