Hi deb369, welcome to Cruise-Chat. I send you a PM with a couple of suggestions and a link to where I moved your post. In placing your post here, you should get more views and it doesn't have anything to do with the cruise line. I'll add another hotel you might like to try to the two in my PM, the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. While it's not near the port or the water taxi, it is near the ocean. You can catch a bus for shopping, too. Best wishes!

Thnaks, sadly the Yankee Clipper is under renovations and not available to us. Ive been there and was quite happy with it.

We've also stayed at the Sea Club Resort, it's on A1A. The hotel is old, but the rooms are clean and the rates are pretty reasonable. Pier 66 and the Renaissance are both really nice properties. There's also an Embassy Suite on 17th Street Causeway, close to the port.
