Seattle hotels

Can anyone recommend a hotel close to the cruiseport in Seattle? Princess website shows a Westin hotel near the port. Is anyone familiar with that?

Having lived in the Seattle area, I can say that I am familiar with the Westin hotel. It is a nice upper scale hotel, so I'm not sure how much it will be. If you're a AAA member, see if they have a AAA rate. It is owned by Starwood, which is a good brand.

Not sure how far it is from the cruise terminal, but if you book here, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If I remember right, I think it is near the downtown area, so that may not be a bad choice.

Thank you for the info. Another recommendation we had was the Edgewater. Of course, the big consideration is price, so we need to do some checking. We have been told that there aren't any motels close to the Princess terminal. We will have to be looking at what kind of shuttle service the different motels have, too.

So much to think about, but it's fun to plan.

Hi Nadine.

Yes, it is fun to plan. I'm thinking about going out of either Port Canaveral or Miami for my next cruise, and again, getting to the port is mainly what I need to consider, as it will be about the same including transportation to the port including cruise price and transportation price.

Miami is easier to get to from Miami airport, but the cruise is about $30 more than Port Canaveral. On the other hand, the cruise line's transfers are reasonably priced from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral considering it's just me going (which I'm perfectly fine with).

We prefer Ft. Lauderdale. We always arrive a day early and then shop and eat in the little stores across from the beach.

I will be checking out the Best Western Executive Inn on June 10th. It's right by the Space Needle.

Thank you Cruise Fanatic. However, we will be there on May 20th. I'm going to do some research on motels this afternoon and see what I come up with. I am just anxious to see Seattle. I have heard so many great things about the city.
