Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver

My husband and I are cruising on May 13 to Alaska. We plan on spending a few days in Vancouver before the cruise. I was looking for some feedback on any hotels. We do not plan on renting a car so I was hoping we could walk or catch a cab to where we wanted to go. I would appreciate any input.

The Metropolitan is right downtown within walking distance of the main shopping areas and close to the cruise ship pier.

It is about a 2 mile walk to Stanley Park and less than a mile to Gastown.

I think its a great choice.
