Thank you for the tip. I recently used Priceline for Ft. Lauderdale and got the Westin Diplomat (Hollywood Beach) for a very reasonable price.

Just stayed at Westin Diplomat the end of November. It's a beautiful place. It's a little further away and the taxi fare cost about $28 if I remember right.
