Catania Sicily

Hi,
I will be docked in Catania for one day. Have any of you been there and what is the best things to do. Taormina is close and this seems to be a go spot. How do I get there? What is there to see or do there?

hi, replying to your question about Taormina we combined it with a visit to mt etna we had a fantastic trip we used the cruise lines tour bus it was a bit expensive but we wanted to see as much as possible incase we did'nt go back to sicily. Taormina is a pretty town its high on a hillside overlooking a bay. some nice shops to browse around, but expensive! also a ampitheatre up another hill!I think it's worth a visit. have a good cruise.
