Messina, Sicily

Has anyone toured Taormina from Messina on their own. Carnival only offer a 4 hour tour going to Taormina and find it too costly.

Depending on how many in your group there are, It is an easy taxi tour. Taromina is interesting, but more of a shopping stop than anything else. However, you should enjoy it for what it is. The views can be breathtaking.

How much should I expect to pay for a taxi tour from Messina to Taormina? I'm travelling alone and get sick on coaches so really need to taxi. Thanks, Jan
