All very good questions. I can tell you what we did on a visit in late Alril(was on the Jewel of the Seas). We are pretty familiar with driving in Europe (having done this for about 25 years) so, when we got to LeHarvre we rented a car for the day from Budget (it cost us 64.48 Euros). We immediatly drove over the Normandy Bridge and stopped on Honfleur for our morning cafe au lait with a great view of the harbor. We than drove along the the back country road (D513) all the way to Deuville and spent an hour walking around Deuville and nearby Trouville. We than decided to head back to Honfleur for lunch (again with a great view). After lunch we drove all the way up to Etratat and than to Fecamap, after which we drove back to LeHavre and dropped our car about 5:30. It would have been possible to keep the car longer (we were in port until 10pm) because the Budget dealer had provisions to drop the car after hours. There were 2 of us in the car, but if we had taken another couple the cost of our "tour" would have been less than $30 per person plus food. The rental car dealer was a short taxi ride from the ship (I did not notice any dealers at the port).
