Ephesus Excursion

Hi there. Has anyone been looking at excursions to the Ephesus site? The ship ones seem to include a limited time at the site followed by some sort of shopping or similar uninspiring activity. We were looking at alternative guided visits, but they seem to want more than 2 persons.

Obviously the more people, the less perhaps for guided tour, as van and driver expense can be prorated. Our ship is landing in Izmir, and we are going on a tour to Ephesus a $40.00 per person. There are 4 of us. Hopefully this will give you some ideas. If you are also going from Iz, advise and I will give you our contact.

Our ship is arriving in Kusadasi 25th Sept, and the private tours from there seem to be wanting $170 for the 2 of us - a much shorter tour than it would be from Izmir!
