I know, it was already discussed for several times. I just want convince those, who are still oscillating between booking a private tour and a taking a regular one.
St.Petersburg is the to see and to return back again and again. This is a city with unbelievable quntity of the museums and sightseeing. And all of them are worth to see. You shouldn't miss Tzars' Banya (wet sauna) in Peterhoff. It was recently restored. That is amazing. Just imagine a shower, that looks like a luxurious chandelier. ....or a papier-mache chandaliers in the Yusupov's Palace.....and the rococo romantic Chinese Palace in Oranienbaum....or visit the Mr. Putin's residence...wow!!!

Once you are in St.Petersburg you should try Russian cuisine in one of the local restaurants (where locals go, but not touristic one) That is something

With a private tour you'll feel the atmospere of Rissia and it's mysterious spirit.

Unfortunately you'll miss it with a big Cruise line bus.

Make the ridht choice! Have a great trip!!!

CathyCruiser,

Excellent message. Mr.Putin's residence is the one where the G8 Summit took place? Constantine's Palace if I'm not mistaken???

Hi MYKK,

You are absolutely right! All the celebrations and events of the 300 aniversary of St. Petersburg and the G8 summit took place at the Costantine's Palace. During the tour we've visited the room, where mr. Bush and mr. Putin had their tet-a-tet during the G8.It is an amazing place with a wonderful you to the Baltic sea

Hi CathyCruiser,
We are gonna be in St.Petersburg this summer. We are on our own. We would love to visit the Constantine's Palace. How it works?

Thank you

Hana,
I have no idea about how it works. That was a suggestion of our tour agent. I couldn't even imagine it is possible. It seemed we were alone at the palace: 4 of us, our guide and the palace security. We've heard the crystal chandeliers'jingle when walking around the halls....That was an unforgettable visit I believe Anastasia Travel (http://www.anastasiaworld.com)would be glad to answer all your questions.

Enjoy your trip

Thank you CathyCruiser. Anastasia is great. She'll organize a private Constantine's Palace visit for us. Furthermore we booked a very special program with Novgorod and Pskov visits. We are looking forward to see some really old Russian churches and monasteries.

Novgorod is a wonderful town. Kremlin (the fortress) and some churches date back to the 11th century. You should defenitely see "Vitoslavlitsy". That is an open-air museum, that resembles Russian village!

Cris,

We've already been to St.Petersburg and have seen most of the sightseeing. How long does it take to see Novgorod? Is it possible to visit Novgorod within one day?

Thank you

DanBr,
One day is enough to visit Novgorod. It would take you about 2,5 hours one way. So if you leave around 8, you'll reach Novgorod already around 10.30am. 5 hours would be enough for you to explore Novgorod, and about 6.30 -7.00 pm you are back.

Have a good trip

Dear CathyCruiser,

We've just returned back from our Baltic Cruise. Of course, St.Petersburg is the highlight. Anastasia was great. The service she provided was just outstanding! Thanks a lot for your recommendation.
