The itinerary states: "Guests must be able to walk approximately 1 mile uphill on cobblestone streets with approx. 75-80 steps...extensive uphill walk to reach the Grand Casino Square in Monte Carlo."
With that said, since "tennis shoes [I imagine sneakers fall under this category] are not permitted," I'm wondering whether sandals are appropriate for such a climb, or whether I should wear my sneakers and carry a pair of "permittable" shoes for entrance into the Casino.
Really don't want to lug extras around if I don't have to, but not looking forward to callouses and bunions at the beginning of my cruise either.
