Roma Termini-Leonardo Da Vinci for 8AM flight

Hi Everybody,
My wife and I will be flying back to the states on Jun 28th (4 days post cruise) on an 8AM flight. We will be spending the previous night about 10 minutes from Roma Termini. Current plan has us catching the first Leonardo Express at 5:52AM and arriving at the airport at 6:23AM. Does this give us sufficient time to clear security, customs, etc and make our flight? Iberia says check in at least 45 minutes prior to the flight.

Basically retracting the afore mentioned question as I have rebooked to another hotel 2km from the airport. Thanks anyway.
