My DH always asks "do you comfort or fashion"
I want both but hard to get.
I wore my Teva sandals with the thicker soles & it was OK ...you have to get the ones with thick soles or you feel every stone.
I also wear my runners not fashionable but sturdy.
You might look at Rockport or Saucony my DH likes his and they have ladies.

I'll try this on a new post as I only received one post elsewhere. We are continually warned about the cobblestones in Rome and the slipperiness when wet. Has anyone out there found a good, stylish, comfortable walking shoe or am I doomed to the bulky Nike, New Balance, Asics, etc., etc. walking shoes? I AM willing to spend the money on really good walking shoes. Just wondered if there is a nice-looking one? Ever the female.
