I am sailing on NCL transatlantic, arriving on 4/28/09 into Dover, we have a flight out of Gatwick at 3:00pm, wht is the best way to get between the port and this airport?

You could book a private driver in advance, but I think you will be fine by tain. The journey takes about 2 and a half hours. Try to get a train with only 1 change. London Victoria would perhaps be the easiest. You can check the timetables & journeys here.
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/pj/jp Input Dover Priory and Gatwick Airport & your date & look for the trains with 1 change only. (You can get a slighly quicker journey if you are prepared to change a couple of times, but with luggage it will probably be easier with just one.)You will probably need a taxi from the cruise terminal to the station but it isn't far. |
Train service is pretty good but for a taxi I just found this and for £60 by car seems a fair price. ( estate car cost £70 )
I've put in a trial journey to get the price but you should perhaps contact them to check.I don't know how reliable they are as I've never used them. http://www.taxisgatwick.net/AirportBooking.aspx |
