Barcelona Hotels

We are going out of Barcelona on the Norweigen Gem the first of June and need a hotel for the night before the cruise and the night after the cruise. Any suggestions

Hi SuzyJoel,
I am taking the same cruise two weeks earlier and we are staying at the hotel Century Park at C/ valencia 154. It is four blocks from the bus stop from the airport and about 12 blocks from the port. We will be in Paris for a week before the cruise. We haven't stayed here before but is was reasonable and well located.

I've been to Barcelona a few times and the best area is the Ramblas, its a tree lined boulevard leading from the port to the Plaza Catalunya. On the right of the ramblas is gothic quarter stuffed full of shops, tapas bars and charming narrow alleys with great little cafes. Hope this helps.

I have just spent a long time looking for a place in Barcelona for post Emerald Princess cruise in three weeks time and came up with a good price at Fira Palace through their own website. It is a bit removed form all the excitement of Las Ramblas but is on the Metro line and has good reviews on trip advisor.
