Rome- hop off hop on buses

I had heard that these buses were a great way to get around, but as soon as I convinced myself- I heard about people waiting for over an hour at stops! I have been to Rome before and know that many sights are in walking distance, but I thought the audio commentary would be enjoyable especially since my husband has never been to Rome before. Who has used these buses recently?

Used one in February was OK in fact good, three different companies operate them a good way to see. Avoid boat trip as it is 20 metres below eye level
