I am new to this website, but have been chatting at 2 other similar cruise sites. In case you guys don't already know, mka and spdavid work together and are working for Byzance tours. They take other reviews and doctor them with glowing reviews of their own tour company. There are warnings about them on 2 other chat cruise sites!!! This review given by mka talks about doing completely different things than another review on this same website! (Just do a mediteranean search, you'll see) Wanted to be the good neighbor and warn everyone! Happy cruising and avoid Byzance tours!!!!

Thank you for the heads up. I checked it out and you are right. Other than Kusadasi the information for the ports is different and sounds like different people making suggestions when they are all posts from "mka" (made on the same day no less) and "spdavids" only posts are 3 thanks for a great review repsonses to each of mka's posts (even one in German - what are the odds?). Very interesting!!!!

Be carefull about CFELD, Dennis, Pecos.......
All are same guy, has not cruised so far. Steel cruisers' post from other cruise forums, changes a litte bit. He recommends his company. Just one sample below from Seabourn page on cruisemates posted by dennis.

This is my trip report I posted on 6-30 on the Seabourn board on Cruisecritic.com. This guy took my review and slightly mangled it and posted it as his own. I would recommend not asking him questions as he did not do this cruise, I did. He also reposted my review as his on the other website. I emailed him and asked him why he stole my trip report and he did not reply.

You're welcome and thanks for the quick action -both for banning him and for the removal of his original post. How do we know to trust personal recommendations from online sources when there are such unreputables lurking about? It is nice to know the staff of this board are monitoring such practices.

Hi Shelley,

mka also posted a review (in German) in this board's German forum, which of course included the now obvious praise for a particular tour operator. And of course, spdavid appeared there to applaud.

They also sent me the same review by e-mail so that I may publish it on my web site. However, as I considered it suspicious in the first place, I never published it.

It's good to know that our members keep an eye on this, as well. Together we can all add to creating a unique community that might be smaller than many other boards, but hopefully more personal and friendly.
