I'm traveling with Princess Cruises on their "Holy Land" trip, June 1st. We'd like to get our own tour guide for as many excursions as possible. There are six in our group. We only get to spend 8 to 11 hrs. at each destination. We understand that we need to be very careful if we choose to plan anything on our own. We don't want to be stranded or loose an opportunity to experience all that the destinations have to offer. We would love to have excellent guides that are familiar with the history of the archeological sites. We are of the Evangelical Christians faith and would love honest biblical and historical facts regarding various sites. I'd love to have any advice on tour guides to the following destinations:
Rome, Athens, Santorini, Ephesus, Nazareth, Jerusalem, Pompeii, Port Said (Cairo/Giza), Alexandria, Patmos, Kusadasi (Ephesus) Turkey.
Is there a destination above that does not need a guide, only transportation to the site? We are new to all of these destinations and pretty green when it comes to traveling!

In Rome and Naples - for Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast we used Benvenuto Limos. We have used them a few times and love their tours and their drivers/guides. I would highly recommend them.
