Cruising in the Med in November

Having been a seaman for approx ten years, with three years in the cruise industry, I've never sailed in the Med in late fall.

My father is turning 60 late next year and in that occasion he's been talking about taking tha family and a few close friends on a cruise to celebrate his big day. I see that both NCL and RCCL (and probably several others) are doing the med cruises well into november. Have anyone here been there so late and what are the experiences with the weather and other things?
