We'll be flying into Rome's Fiumincino, spending two nights in Rome then returning to FCO to connect with the Celebrity Lines transfer to the docks for an October cruise. I'd like to leave one large piece of luggage at the airport so we don't have to take it into the city and back.
Web info indicates there is luggage storage at FCO in the International Terminal on the Arrivals level - that sounds good - just wonder if anyone has used this service recently?
On another issue - I learned that through the American Express website I can purchase euro notes and/or traveler's cheques online - locking in the current exchange rate for any like myself who see the dollar continuing to fall between now and the time we begin our trip.
The major expense, the cruise itself was locked in with our deposit but I wanted a way to purchase euro currency or traveler's cheques now to hedge against further dollar decline. Of course that can backfire if the dollar strengthens. .
