Barcelona Shopping on Sunday

Hi,

I am booked on the Carnival Liberty transatlantic cruise this November, and Barcelona is the first port of call.

However, we visit the city on a Sunday, and I was hoping to shop for Spanish ham that I could take with me for the remainder of the cruise.

Does anyone know if there are charcuteries open on Sundays?

Hmmmm, Barcelona is generally open on Sundays, but I am not sure that the ship is going to allow you to bring food onto the ship. You might want to check with Carnival to find out what their policies are before purchasing the ham.

Thanks for your reassurance regarding my shopping wishes. I hope you're right, but I was somewhat alarmed that "El Corte Ingles", the most important department store in Spain is closed on Sunday.

I just hope I can find a nice, good charcuterie, with jabugo ham to go.

I'm not concerned about the ship's regulations. I do not intend to import my ham into the US, and frankly, it probably won't last beyond a couple of days, as much as I love this ham!!!

If you have any other information, whether you know about reputable charcuteries open on Sundays, or about food regulations, I would be eternally grateful.
