What is the average hourly fare for taxi drivers for a 4 or 5 hour tour of small European cities or islands ? Corfu, for example.

It just depends on what you negotiate. Here are some tips. If you exit the port first before negotiating, you will be able to obtain a better deal. Also, you should be able to communicate with the taxi drivers many of whom do not speak any Engliah. Do some research so that you know where you want to go and do.
