first time!

This is our first cruise- do you think one can do Rome on one's own. My main concern is getting on to the train from Civitavecchia and getting to town and back. How complicated is it for a first-timer. In Rome we're just going to hop on hop off.

Unless you have been to Italy before and are familiar, I suggest you take a guided tour because Rome is an extremely congested city. Let someone else do the driving and take you see the most important sites you want.
