Hello. Does anybody here know if Palermo can be toured on your own, without joining a cruise-sponsored excursion? Is it easy enough to get around? To get from the dock to the city? To see the sights on your own?

What about Carthage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'll be in those two places in a week and a half!
