Santorini excursions

Hello everyone... I am an experienced cruiser but new to the Mediterranean. One of my ports of call on my upcoming cruise is Santorini. I will only be in port from 7:00am til 6:00pm so I will have to enjoy the sunset from the ship. Does anyone know of "do not miss" things that I should do on this beautiful island? We are a young couple so physical exertion doesn't bother us. We are just looking for any ideas.

try walking up to the top. you will be sharing the trek with more donkeys than you can possibly imagine. But it is worth the hike. The views and the experience is worth it rather than taking the cable. We were there twice and walking around the top is very very nice and beautiful.

Thank you for your info. My wife and I returned from the Carnival Fantasy on the 22nd. of April and we have been sick ever since. (Thank you Montezuma) We are very excited about leaving next week. It is going to be a great trip.

Take the bus to the town of Oia. It's a picture perfect place, just like it's seen in the post cards.
